Today's local action took place at Al Islam Junior High School in Semarang City, Central Java Province, Indonesia. Twenty-four participants, including students and teachers, participated.Today's activity included an opening by the principal, followed by an explanation of the program and sustainable agriculture for the school environment. With the assistance of funding from Service Civil International (SCI), a wonderful training program was devised and carried out. Throughout July, we hosted the Peace Across the Sea, a weekly online training, bringing together 20 participants—10 from Australia and 10 from Indonesia. This collaborative programme is a joint initiative between International Volunteers for Peace Australia (IVP Australia) and the Bhumi Horta Foundation Indonesia (BHF).

SCI Malaysia collaborated with HANDS to organize an interesting and educational Workcamp at a Farm - entitled ;Farm Entrepreneurship in a Rural Malaysian Setting – a Hands-on Experiential Leaning
The Workcamp was set up at a 5 year old farm (still new and young), but the enterprising Farm Owner had turned a barren 2 acres of sloping terrain into a very well organized, structured, facilated productive Farm with 100 Durian Trees, plus papaya, banana, passion fruits, tapioca, pineapple, lots of vegetables, plus poultry.
